Saturday - painting. Started painting just after
9:00 a.m., and ended about 7:00 p.m., with a break for lunch. All the
tiny little nooks and cranny's of the eaves take a lot of time, with a
31/2" brush. But the paint looks good. Hopefully I'll finish most of
the lower trim tomorrow - but the upper eaves will take some time to
finish. I am also thinking of doing the plank facade, but leaving the
bulk of the stucco alone.
It was warm, but not too bad. There are thunderstorms predicted for
Monday, which is one of the reasons I am concentrating on getting as
much as possible done today and tomorrow.
I was supposed to go pick up a friend's dog for the weekend, so I
skedaddled over to their place and popped in the pool to cool off and
relax my shoulders and feet (with one of their beers!). And they then
show up... Instead of an overnight hike they are planning to just going
do a day hike tomorrow...

Thursday - not quite so tired. Went to the county fair again, with friends. A wonderful warm night.
I am told next Monday is a holiday, Labor Day. I could have saved a day of vacation by waiting a week. Oh well.

is a time lapse shot of some pedestrians walking along at the County
Fair on Friday. I found that if I left the shutter open too long then
the pedestrians vanished altogether....
