Saturday 5 November 2016
Saturday - Nice weather, but I'm beat.

Since I'm gone next week for inspection on Election Day I went over to the local Community College and did the early voting thing.  I put on my walking boots, expecting to spend five or ten minutes there, then go on to do three or four miles walking.

The line was huge, and it took me three hours to to get in to vote.  It was a friendly crowd though, and I saw no slogans, buttons, t-shirts, and not a single person saying who they were voting for.  I actually met a friends son, T, and we just hung out together and then went for a late lunch afterwards.

Friday 4 November 2016
Friday - Back in town.

The endodontist says oral surgery, they'll come at the root from the side. Gahh.  I have some different antibiotics prescribed, hopefully they'll work where Amoxycillin didn't.  Appointment is in two weeks.

Book #54 was Two Necromancers, a Dragon, and a Vampire, by L.G. Estrella.

Thursday 3 November 2016
Thursday - OTR. Still inspecting.

Since the inspection started later I took the opportunity to move the boat back, with help from the marina staff.  The newly repaired floats look good, but there are some pretty dilapidated sections that they didn't fix...

My bad tooth is aching again, pretty bad.  I made an appointment for tomorrow at the endodontist in Lancaster.

Wednesday 2 November 2016

Wednesday - OTR.  Started inspecting stuff. It's warm, verging on hot, down here.

While rinsing off the boat I stood up under the bimini bracket and made a pretty good gash in my scalp.  I had the hose water on so I just rinsed and rinsed until the bleeding stopped.

Tuesday  1 November 2016
Tuesday - OTR.  Down to Ventura.

I met up with TD in the afternoon and we discussed the inspection job and got the paperwork and equipment together.

The boat was dry inside, which surprised me a bit since the power cord was dislodged.  But I guess it's been dry down in Ventura just like the rest of Southern California.

Book #53 was Two Necromancers, an Army of Golems, and a Demon Lord, by L.G. Estrella.  Amusing.

Monday  31 October 2016
Monday - Halloween!  Surprisingly warm, sweater weather later in the evening, but nice.

Despite it being a Monday the turnout was pretty good - both children and teens.  R did his usual over-the-top job, and people were pretty amazed. And we had one or two tykes that refused to come near the place...

30Sunday    October  2016
Sunday - Cool and pleasant in the morning.

I did the usual grocery shopping in the morning, a few of the usual items. Not much that I needed really.

There's a bit of inspection work to be done down in the Westlake area, so I'll be out of town for at least part of the week.  The marina wants me to move my boat back to the original slip, they've finished repairs, so that all works out.

Book #52 was Two Necromancers, a Bureaucrat, and an Elf by L.G. Estrella.  Light fantasy fun.
