Saturday - hung out in the office for a few hours in the morning, then headed north to Lancaster.

- out in the field, inspecting some more. We got quite a bit
done, but had to work until dark to get it in. There is more, but
without a county inspector who knows the territory and had keys to
various private and municipal gates for easements, well, we've gone as
far as we can.

- down in Ventura, working. More proposal review, then I
spent some time on trying to georeference some images for the
inspection tomorrow. It should be easier, but I managed, using ArcPad,
to get some rough Google Earth screen images referenced and projected.
Just some - others, for some unknown reason, did NOT work.

- down in Ventura, working. Mostly review of some proposals. Weird. I used to do that at NASA...
I tried to read Ben Bova's Leviathan of Jupiter, but just couldn't.
Bova may just be the most pedestrian writer in science fiction today,
it's agonizing to read plots and characterizations that were dated in
the 1950's. He's not a bad guy, but just...just...boring.

Sunday
- taking it easy, doing various chores around the house. Down to
Ventura this week, light posting if any.
In the evening we went to see a production of The Music Man, at the
LPAC. It was well done, though not a barn burner (that'd be Oklahoma I
guess!). I know many of the songs by heart - teen-age sisters don't ya
know....
I bummed a haircut of my friend, so now I look like less of a ... bum.
