Tuesday - New Years Eve.
I've went over to the neighbors and we all watched bad TV and waited for the ball to drop, then went home.
Monday - Cold.
I received the bill for the insurance. Yikes.
The old Explorer makes up a third of it, and since it's essentially unsafe to drive it anywhere I need to get rid of it in the new year.
Sunday - A bit of shopping in the morning.
The snow is mostly gone, but it's quite damp out, and I had to scrape ice off the windshield before heading into town.
C&R stopped by in the afternoon and picked up their dog. She was happy to be here, but happier to see her 'real' family.Saturday - Cold, but no snow or rain.
I went looking for Suzy, finally realized that she'd snuck under the covers on the bed, just a little bump.
Friday - Clear and cold.
C&R are going out of town for a few days, so they dropped off Sam. The back yard is about 75% snow covered. There is sufficient exposed grass for her to take care of business, but it's cold enough that she's mostly just staying inside.
The cats are cool with her: everyone has known each other since they were kittens and puppies.
Thursday - Snow!!
They had removed the prediction of snow for the valley floor, but kept it for the surrounding mountains, but it snowed thick and well, starting in the am hours and lasting throughout the day. Yay!
Wednesday - Went over to the neighbor's for a nice Xmas dinner. Handed out some gift cards, got a few nice things in return: a couple more Carhartt t-shirts for one.
Tuesday - Christmas Eve. It was pretty quiet, I went by R&S's and dropped off a couple things, picked up some gifts (books!) and biscuits. And hard liquor: I just finished my rum and got a bottle of Trader Joe's Single Malt!!
Stopped by C&R's place on my way home, dropped off a card and gift cards for the kids, picked up some Chocolate's and some Airborne (since they had a cold in the family).
Home again, relaxing indoors for the rest of the afternoon and evening: spent it reading and relaxing.
Monday - Cold.
Sunday - No shopping in the morning.
I treated R&S to lunch yesterday, Japanese at The Red Salmon, and the innards are really disturbed. A rough night.
Since S had the same thing as me, and no ill effects, it's just my reaction to the food. This happens with some regularity..
