Saturday 24 February 2018
Saturday - Yep.  Cough, headache, aching all over.  This sucks.  I have things to do...

Friday 23 February 2018
Friday - Still very tired.  It actually feels like I'm coming down with something....  Bah.

S mentioned she's sick, but it sounds more like food poisoning.

Thursday 22 February 2018
Thursday - Back in town.  Pretty tired, although not as bad as last week.

Got up at 6am and saw the rocket launch out of Vandenberg AFB from here.  Not as dramatic as an evening launch, which would be back lit, but still fun to watch.  Interestingly enough, my neighbors boy was watching it on his phone as well, as it was a good half minute before we could see it here, just in the power lines next to the white house in the picture below.  I guess it needs to be several thousand feet up to be visible over the curve of the earth at this distance.

Wednesday 21 February 2018

Wednesday - OTR.  Contractor repairs are acceptable to the District.  Wrapping up, and heading back to Lancaster.

The I-5 wasn't nearly as busy.  Rather nice actually - much better than taking the I-14.

House and cats look good.

Got a reminder from my brother B that there would be a Space-X Falcon launch out of Vandenberg tomorrow morning...I'll have to see if I can get up in time to see it.

Tuesday 20 February 2018
Tuesday - OTR.  It was 20F when I left the driveway - the low was 17F a few miles outside of town.

Things are going OK in Saticoy, another day or two of work.

Boat was dry and tight.  Needs cleaning, but the boat hose has failed.  I have several in Lancaster, I just need to bring one down.

Monday 19 February  2018
Monday - President's day.  If I was on schedule for my re-modeling, then I'd be out shopping for flooring on sale.  But I'm not ready, I need to finish priming the house, then painting on the inside, then the flooring.

Sunday 18 February 2018
Sunday - S came by yesterday with a set of "sheers" for the french doors in the kitchen.  The old mismatched pair are literally rags, and disintegrate when touched.  I had a bed sheet taped up to give some privacy.  The sheers S found were actually free, from a yard sale, because they are a day-glo lime green color - truly horrible, and still better than what was on there....

I am slowly getting used to the new place.  S also brought another mattress pad, and two of them mean I am quite comfortable in the twin mattress, although it's been getting cold enough at night to require using the quilt.

It's been getting cooler, and I've been using the pellet stove, which when coupled with a floor fan, keeps the entire house comfortable.  There is a propane central air unit, but AH says that his just devours propane, so I try not to use it.
