Friday 30 September 2016
Friday - Warm weather.  Probably the last hurrah of summer, before a cool fall really starts.

Battling with eyestrain, which is limiting programming and reading time.

Thinking about yesterdays problem: probably two different threads (not) interacting. Argghhh.

Thursday 29 September 2016
Thursday - Just working away  on things, not a lot to say.

S found a bug in the audible portion of the app, and I'm working still on some behavior indicators that is bafflingly hard to get working right.

Wednesday 28 September 2016

Wednesday - Nice weather.

I took about a five mile walk in the morning, just to clear my head.

Worked on the app. I'm looking into the switch accessibility stuff, which I'd like to keep fast and easy to use for the students. That's harder than it sounds, since there may be zero, one or two external switches.

Tuesday 27  September 2016
Tuesday - Working on the app.

Battling Apple's stupidity. I texted a friend that I've never used the word "vile" to describe a programming experience before.

Monday 26 September  2016
Monday - Warming up again, in the 90's I'd say.

Worked on the app, added some badges to provide feedback to the students for some of the more frustrating levels. There's a fine line between too easy and too hard, and it takes some work to stay on that line...

Quit a bit early, 3:30, because of eyestrain issues.

The presidential debate between Hillary and Donald was in the evening, I couldn't bring myself to watch.  Two less presidential people it'd be hard to come up with, the felon and the blowhard.  Sheesh.

Sunday 25 September 2016
Sunday - Cooler than it has been, at least in the morning.

I did a bit of grocery shopping in the morning, the usual items.  I'd intended to buy Talcum Powder, but forgot.  I'd picked up a floor fan at WinCo for $8 a week or two ago, to replace one in the office with failing bearings, and decided to pick up another.  Unsurprisingly, at that price WinCo had sold out since I'd been there and there were none to be had.

I didn't do much of anything in the afternoon and evening, for some reason. I did read a bit on thermal heat transfer, because of a theory I'd read and was thinking of modeling.

It's odd, I don't really miss working at NASA, but I definitely miss the technical library.  Online prices for articles are extraordinary if you aren't a member of a professional organization, say $35 for two or three pages written thirty or forty years ago. I just can't bring myself to pay that.
